Rabbitohs accept Luke ban
South Sydney hooker Issac Luke will miss vital matches against three top-eight candidates after accepting a three-week ban for a dangerous throw.
The Rabbitohs No. 9 opted not to contest the grade-two charge, stemming from his spear tackle on Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall in Monday night's thrilling come-from-behind win at Allianz Stadium.
Luke, who has a poor on-field disciplinary record, faced four weeks on the sideline if he contested the charge and lost.
He will miss games against St George Illawarra, Wests Tigers and Gold Coast.
All three sides are either just inside the top eight or fighting to get in.
Canterbury prop Sam Kasiano will be the only player to front Wednesday night's judiciary hearing.
He is hoping to get off a grade-two careless high-tackle charge and play against Manly at Brookvale Oval on Friday night.
