Pendlebury back for Pies
Collingwood star Scott Pendlebury has been named to return for their crunch clash against Geelong on Saturday night, while Marc Murphy is back for Carlton and Essendon have lost Paddy Ryder to injury.
Pendlebury hasn't played since cracking his tibia bone against Gold Coast in Round 10, with the Pies taking a cautious approach with their star player.
But he is back this week, along with key defenders Nathan Brown and Chris Tarrant, while Sharrod Wellingham (suspension), Marley Williams (shoulder) and Jackson Paine (omitted) come out of the team.
Geelong have named promoted rookies Josh Walker and Jackson Sheringham to make their debuts, while Mitch Duncan, Harry Taylor and Steve Johnson return after missing last week's narrow win over Gold Coast.
Walker, 19, is a 196cm forward who kicked five goals in an impressive performance at VFL level last week. He is also the grandson of Peter Walker, who played in the Cats' 1963 premiership side.
Mature-age midfielder Sheringham, who came to the club in 2009, gets his first crack at senior football at age 24.
Jimmy Bartel (suspension), David Wojcinski (hamstring), Dawson Simpson (omitted), Mitch Brown (omitted) and Jordan Murdoch (omitted) are out of the side.
Carlton have recalled star onballer Marc Murphy for Friday night's tussle with North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium, the first time he has played since injuring a shoulder in their Round 8 thumping by the Crows.
Lachlan Henderson has also been named for the Blues after he overcame a groin injury, while Kade Simpson (jaw) and Shaun Hampson miss out.
The Kangaroos have recalled Scott Thompson at the expense of Luke Delaney.
Essendon have named injury-plagued forward Scott Gumbleton for his first senior game since Round 18 2010 in Saturday's match against Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium, while ruckman Tom Bellchambers is recalled for the first time since the Bombers' Round 11 loss to Sydney.
Corey Dell'Olio and debutant Mark Baguley have also been named for Essendon, but the club have suffered a big blow ahead of the clash with in-form big man Ryder ruled out for a month with a calf injury suffered at training.
Heath Hocking (suspension), Sam Lonergan (omitted) and Michael Hurley (hamstring) are the other men to be left out.
Port welcome back Matt Thomas, Jarrad Redden and Daniel Stewart, with Jacob Surjan (glute), John Butcher (hip) and Ben Jacobs (omitted) making way.
Fremantle have recalled wayward small forward Michael Walters for their clash with Melbourne at Etihad Stadium, after the 21-year-old's career looked in jeopardy when he was banished to WAFL club Swan Districts during the pre-season, with Nick Lower (concussion) missing out.
Melbourne have dropped Brent Moloney, while Jack Watts (ankle), James Magner (omitted), Lynden Dunn (suspension) and Jake Spencer were left out.
Brad Green is back for the Dees, as are Mark Jamar, Ricky Petterd, and Tom McDonald while the club have handed a debut to 22-year-old rookie Tom Couch - son of 1989 Brownlow Medallist Paul Couch.
Richmond have recalled Kelvin Moore for the suspended Matthew White for their meeting with Gold Coast in Cairns, while the Suns introduce debutant Josh Hall and welcome back David Swallow and Aaron Hall.

Brisbane have regained veteran midfielder Simon Black, who has recovered in time from a knee injury which forced him out of the clash against Sydney, for their match against St Kilda at the Gabba on Saturday night.
Matt Maguire, Todd Banfield, Aaron Cornelius and Elliot Yeo have also been recalled, while Cheynee Stiller, Niall McKeever, Claye Beams, Ryan Lester and Joshua Green have all been omitted.
St Kilda have named Sam Dunell to make his AFL debut after promoting the 22-year-old from the rookie list earlier on Thursday.
His inclusion for Jack Steven, who is serving a club-imposed one-match suspension for drink-driving, is the only change for the Saints.
The suspensions of Luke Shuey (two matches) and Quinten Lynch (one) forced West Coast into changes for their blockbuster clash against Sydney, while dangerous forward Josh Hill (hamstring) will also miss at Patersons Stadium.
Adam Selwood has been named in the squad of 25 for Sunday's game after a best-on-ground performance in the WAFL, while Fraser McInnes could debut as Mitch Brown, Lewis Stevenson, Brad Sheppard and Tom Swift were also included.
Rebounding defender Nick Malceski has retained his place for the Swans after coming in as a late inclusion and impressing in his team's big win over Brisbane.

Coach Kevin Sheedy has chosen to rest Tomas Bugg, Andrew Phillips, Adam Tomlinson, Tim Mohr and James McDonald.
