Black Caviar back home
Star mare Black Caviar is back in Australia, after her famous victory at Royal Ascot in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes.
Peter Moody's unbeaten five-year-old endured a long ride home from Newmarket, England, stopping over at Dubai and Hong Kong on her way to Werribee, where she will spend a further fortnight in quarantine.
Black Caviar's racing future remains in the balance after her surprisingly narrow win at Ascot, where she sustained muscle tear injuries during the 1200m race.
Moody has confirmed he will assess the mare's fitness once she comes out of quarantine, to see how she has handled treatment on her torn quadriceps and sacroiliac.
He harbours hopes of getting Black Caviar to the track to try and win a third Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington on November 10.
